Observatory of natural, agricultural, forestry and urban areas (NAFU) - The French Land Development and Risk Control Public Interest Group
The French Land Development and Risk Control Public Interest Group works to centralize and disseminate data about land use, including natural, agricultural, forestry and urban areas, with the aim of providing information for the authorities in terms of territorial policies. The French Land Development and Risk Control Public Interest Group collaborates with a number of public partners in the French Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the French Government.
The observatory of natural, agricultural, forestry and urban areas (NAFU) provides statistical data and geolocalized indicators related to land and land use according to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Land Use Reference System. This repository was initiated through the French Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region Data Exchange Platform, which offers access to all kinds of data on the territory.
"The final objective of the observatory is to have reliable and representative data on land use and to contribute to the development of guidelines, at different scales, related to the use of agricultural, natural and forestry areas".
